EMIRE
The EMIRE database is the online version of the European Employment and Industrial Relations Glossaries, which explain the national industrial relations systems of the EU member states through their terminology.
There are glossaries for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK. These national industrial relations glossaries were compiled between 1991 and 2003. The definitions are still helpful in understanding the different national industrial relations systems but are not updated to reflect recent developments.
The European industrial relations dictionary is a comprehensive collection of the most commonly used terms in employment and industrial relations at EU level. It is updated on a regular basis.
The EMIRE database currently covers the countries listed below. You may browse the alphabetical list of terms for each country, or search for specific topics in the text.
