Changing labour market conditions and health: a systematic literature review (1993-1998)

One of the current objectives of the European Union is the promotion of a high level of employment in order to achieve economic and social progress. Employment and unemployment, in their turn, have broad implications on citizens’ health. This bibliographic review describes and analyses the impact of the recent labour market developments on employees’ health. The report includes topics such as downsizing, workplace reorganisation, job insecurity, new technologies and health promotion.
