Background of the project

As a corporate member of IIRA, the Foundation has participated in previous European and World Congresses, contributing actively to the debate at conference sessions and events.

This year, the Foundation has organised two seminars, see invitation & agenda [

• Tuesday 4 September - Working time: Findings from International and European Research (15.30-18.00)
  The objective of this seminar, organised in cooperation with the ILO, is to discuss working time from both the individual and the company perspective. Findings from the Foundation surveys on ‘Working Time and Work-Life Balance’ and ‘Working Conditions’ will be presented, together with the ILO work on ‘Decent Working Time’.

• Wednesday 5 September - New Governance in European Industrial Relations (13.30-15.30)
  The aim of this seminar is to look into new forms, structures and processes of European industrial relations at intersectoral, sectoral and company level. Presentations will focus on the findings of the Foundation’s projects on new structures, forms and processes of governance in European industrial relations and codes of conduct and international framework agreements.
