Objectives
The Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (UPSVAR) together with the CE-Ageing Platform consortium are organising the first CE-Ageing International Conference. This event aims at raising awareness of an ageing society/demographic changes as well as the role of human capital, promoting innovative actions for adapting cities/regions to the needs of older people, discussing framework conditions for knowledge development in the regions, developing transnational cooperation and networks between training, labour market institutions and economic drivers (SMEs, clusters, etc.) and fostering (cross-border) cooperation of SMEs.
The conference will gather approximately 150 participants, such as project and strategic partners, national and regional policy makers, key stakeholders, international ageing experts and representatives of other interested organisations, who will come together in order to exchange and discuss latest developments in active ageing, silver economy, demographic changes, lifelong learning in the Slovak Republic and best practice examples (e.g. University of third age and 'Ageing Workforce' project).
