Opening Conference: Stay active, what does it take?

Organised by the Danish Ministry of Employment, Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration and Ministry of Health, with support from the European Commission (DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion)
Objectives
The conference kicks off the European Year with a focus on innovative solutions to the challenges of an ageing society in Europe, with particular regard to the areas of employment, health and social affairs. Eurofound's Donald Storrie will speak on the topic of 'Senior citizens on the labour market - the need and potential of reforms'. A notable feature of the programme is the emphasis on good practice examples.
Eurofound's contribution to the European Year
Eurofound has prepared a resource pack on active ageing as a contribution to the European Year. This is complemented by its work on young people especially those not in employment, education or training. Eurofound will collaborate actively throughout the year with the Danish and Cypriot presidencies.
