Objectives
The Confederation of Family Organisations in the European Union (COFACE) in cooperation with Eurofound and COFACE's German member organisation Arbeitsgemeinschaft der deutschen Familienorganisationen (AGF) are organising the conference 2014: Citizen action for better family policies taking place in Berlin on 28th March 2014.
This event will focus on how to tackle the current political distrust and disengagement of European citizens as well as to motivate voters to get engaged, learn more about the European Union (and more specifically the European Parliament) and vote at the European elections coming up in May. Participants include students, volunteers, bloggers, civil society representatives and journalists.
Welcome remarks will be addressed by Sven Iversen, Director of AGF and Annemie Drieskens, President of COFACE.
The event will be broadcast in web streaming**.** It will be possible to interact with the speakers on Twitter by using the hashtags #FamiliesVOTE2014 and #EP2014.
