Inclusive labour markets in the EU: the role of improved job quality and enhanced inclusion
3 February 2015 - 4 February 2015
Event background
The conference organised by the Latvian Presidency of the EU and the European Commission will focus on two main fields:
job quality
sustainable labour market inclusion, including the role of the minimum income schemes.
The conference will pool information and examine to what extent previous or ongoing initiatives in those areas have been effective and whether additional activities or guidance at European Union level are required and what can be done to facilitate the implementation of existing measures. Taking into account relevant studies and other on-going activities, the conference plans to draw from expertise of different European Union and other international institutions to explain recent evolutions and to find out what more can be done to improve the situation of labour markets, people, especially those farthest from labour market, and societies in general.
