Men Policies - Contributions to gender equality

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection is organising the conference on 'Men Policies. Contributions to Gender Equality' in the Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna on 6-7 October 2014.

The conference will bring together professionals, stakeholders and institutions in the area of gender equality as well as politicians and experts from science and research and will explore how a better balance of work, family and partnership can provide an important contribution to gender equality.

Speakers include the Austrian Federal Minister for Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, Rudolf Hundstorfer, the German Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, Manuela Schwesig and the Luxembourg Minister of Health and Equal Opportunities, Lydia Mutsch.

Jorge Cabrita, Research Officer in the Working Conditions and Industrial Relations Unit, will give a presentation on Reconciliation of work and family life in the European Union.
