Place and date:

Dublin, Ireland, 3-4 November 2004

Venue, accommodation and transport:

The venue on day one, Dublin Castle, is located in the centre of Dublin and is an historic building owned by the Irish Government. The Foundation will host the second day at its own premises in south County Dublin.

Accommodation is available at Bewley’s Hotel which is approximately 2km south of the city centre. Transport between the hotel and both venues will be arranged. Transport to and from the airport is by taxi or blue 'aircoach' bus. The coach runs every 15 minutes and serves Bewley’s Hotel, price: €7 single, €12 return. A taxi from the airport to the hotel will cost approximately €25.

Attendance

Please complete the registration and accommodation forms, indicating any special requirements (e.g. dietary, disability), and return to Doris Hirschfeld at the Foundation.

Registration

Registration will take place at Dublin Castle from 08.30 on Wednesday, 3 November. Please bring along the following documents:

  • confirmation of attendance
  • participant’s expenses form
  • travel tickets and boarding passes for verification.

Choice of Debate Room

You should indicate on the registration form which parallel debate you wish to participate in. We will do our best to accommodate your preference, therefore, please return the registration form as soon as possible.

Expenses

There is no charge for attending the Forum. The Foundation will pay the hotel directly for accommodation with breakfast for up to two nights.

The Foundation will reimburse travel costs on presentation of tickets and boarding passes. Airfares will be reimbursed on the basis of the most economical fare in economy class available at the time of the invitation, allowing for travel on weekdays. If exceptionally, for reasons beyond the control of participants, seats have to be booked in a higher class, the participants must produce supporting evidence from the travel agency.
