Seminar on Quality of Life in the Czech Republic, 24 March 2009, Prague, Czech Republic

This event took place at the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic. Participants included Eurofound's stakeholders, representatives from the Czech government, Czech employer organisations and trade unions. A press briefing was organised, including a wide distribution of press material, again involving the social partners and their respective media organisations. A draft programme is available.

Eurofound's new Second European Quality of Life Survey (EQLS) full overview report was launched during the Presidency conference on flexicurity 'Implementing flexicurity in times of crisis', taking place on 25-26 March in Prague. The report was launched in the presence of Petr Necas, Czech Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Vladimir Spidla, EU Commissioner for Social Affairs and Employment, and Jorma Karppinen, Eurofound's Director.

Eurofound made a contribution entitled 'Supporting transitions, a key aspect for the implementation of flexicurity policies' in the first session of the conference.
