Expert conference on 'Youth: Employment and inclusion in times of crisis', 26-27 April 2012, Horsens, Denmark

Objectives

This event is organised by the Danish Ministry of Employment within the framework of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The conference will focus on an enhanced effort with regard to young people in the light of the demographic challenges the EU faces. The focus of the conference will be divided into three main themes concerning young people:

• innovation - evidence in the decision making process

• inclusion - an enhanced effort with regard to vulnerable young people, and

• international inspiration - the global perspective

The role of Member States, social partners, organisations, private actors and young people themselves will be discussed as well as best practice examples from Member States.

Eurofound contribution

Robert Anderson will contribute to the event with a presentation of recent research findings on Active Inclusion for young people: Examples of good practice from 11.50-12.10 on Thursday 26 April.
