The Lithuanian Ministry of Social Security and Labour is organising the international conference 'How to make formal work attractive' in Vilnius on 17-18 September 2014.
This event will discuss the issue of informal work and the transition to formality, facilitate the sharing of information and exchange of best practice as well as other policy approaches and measures that national authorities have implemented to tackle the problem.
The conference will be attended by high-level government officials from the EU Member States and EFTA, representatives of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), European Commission, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as well as the international and European social partners.
Isabella Biletta, Research Manager in the Working Conditions and Industrial Relations Unit, will present the Eurofound study Tackling undeclared work in 27 EU Members States and Norway: Approaches and measures since 2008.
