This two-day conference will be hosted by Commissioner László Andor and DG EMPL at the Management Centre Europe in Brussels on 18-19 September 2014.

The conference will bring together theoreticians, experts, analysts, advisers and policy makers to discuss the state of play and the way forward in the area of labour economics. In particular, the following questions will be addressed:

  • What needs to be learned and discussed in the area of labour economics?

  • How can academic experts and advisers continue to help the EU in designing and implementing the right policies in the area of employment?

Eurofound will be represented by Juan Menéndez-Valdés, Director, and David Foden, Head of the Working Conditions and Industrial Relations Unit.
