The conference Small Business and Workplace Safety and Health - The Challenge, The Opportunity will explore the importance, the contribution and the further potential of good safety and health management to business success and seek to find means of simplifying compliance for small and micro businesses.
The event is hosted by the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU and will also recognise and reward workplace good practices from around the EU. On 29 April, the Bilbao-based European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) will present the Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Awards, awards to best practice winners in occupational safety and health from various Member States.
Key speakers will include Richard Bruton TD, Ireland's Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and László Andor, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
Eurofound’s Research Manager Jean-Michel Miller will talk about 'Small business and working conditions' presenting Eurofound’s latest research findings.
