2017 m. balandžio 26 d. Komisija pradėjo įgyvendinti Europos socialinių teisių ramsčio dokumentų rinkinį. Tai apima iniciatyvą, kuria siekiama padėti tėvams ir globėjams užtikrinti profesinio ir asmeninio gyvenimo pusiausvyrą. Iniciatyva siekiama spręsti nepakankamą atstovavimą moterims darbo rinkoje, be to, joje pateikiami įvairūs nauji arba patobulinti minimalūs standartai, taikomi vaiko priežiūros, tėvystės (motinystės) ir globėjų atostogoms.

Duomenų rinkimas

EUROFOUND atliekamuose Europos gyvenimo kokybės tyrimuose (EGKT) pateikiami šalių palyginimai atsižvelgiant į profesinio ir asmeninio gyvenimo suderinimą, lanksčią darbo laiko tvarką ir kokybiškų priežiūros paslaugų teikimą. Europos įmonių apklausose (EĮA) pateikiami duomenys apie tai, kodėl ir kaip įmonės naudoja įvairią darbo laiko tvarką. Europos darbo sąlygų tyrimuose (EDST) nagrinėjamas darbo laiko organizavimas ES ir su tuo susiję klausimai, įskaitant lanksčius susitarimus, pageidaujamą darbo laiką bei profesinio ir asmeninio gyvenimo pusiausvyrą.

Europos profesinio gyvenimo stebėjimo tarnyba („EurWORK“) teikia informaciją apie darbo sąlygas ir tvarų darbą, įskaitant duomenų bazę apie darbo užmokestį, darbo laiką ir kolektyvinius ginčus. EUROFOUND taip pat apskaičiavo ekonomines ir socialines išlaidas, susijusias su vyrų ir moterų užimtumo skirtumu, ir gali pateikti informacijos apie darbo vietų, susijusių su priežiūros paslaugų teikimu, sukūrimą.

Kadangi darbo valandų vidurkis stabiliai mažėja, leidinyje klausiama, ar profesinio ir asmeninio gyvenimo pusiausvyra vis dar svarbi. Kaip gali padėti Darbo laiko direktyva ir kokį vaidmenį atlieka lanksti darbo laiko politika? Kokia konkreti parama yra reikalinga tiems, kurie privalo prižiūrėti vaikus ar suaugusiuosius? Profesinio ir asmeninio gyvenimo pusiausvyra yra susijusi su kitais gyvenimo aspektais, įskaitant poreikį užtikrinti kokybišką vaikų priežiūrą, šalinti vyrų ir moterų užimtumo skirtumą ir pasirūpinti vyresnio amžiaus darbuotojais, kurie negali toliau dirbti visą darbo dieną.
