Czech presidency 2022: Eurofound's contribution
From July to December 2022, Eurofound supported the work of Czechia's presidency of the Council of the EU, providing valuable research results on specific topics linked with the presidency priorities.

Eurofound contributes to a range of different meetings and events, providing expertise in the areas of employment, social and work-related policies and preparing supporting documentation as requested by the presidency. See some examples of our contributions below.
Eurofound’s Massimiliano Mascherini, Head of Social Policies unit, spoke at the session on 'Gender aspects of energy poverty'. Massimiliano’s focus was on the impact on energy poverty on living conditions, and gender in particular. At the request of the Czech presidency, Eurofound prepared a background paper for this event on the social impact of the cost-of-living crisis and energy poverty.
Eurofound’s Executive Director, Ivailo Kalfin, fed into the discussions drawing on the Agency's most recent data with a presentation on the impact of raising energy prices on the social situation of EU Member States.
This conference focused on how best to promote gender equality in the new realities facing the EU. Massimiliano Mascherini, Head of social policies at Eurofound, spoke at the session on the Green transition and its impact on living costs and energy poverty. Massimiliano’s focus was on the impact on energy poverty on living conditions.
