Presidency priorities

The Polish presidency focuses on several overall priorities around strengthening security in Europe:
  • Defence and security
  • Protection of people and borders
  • Resistance to foreign interference and disinformation
  • Ensuring security and freedom of business
  • The energy transition
  • Competitive and resilient agriculture
  • Health security

Eurofound's contributions to presidency activities

Eurofound contributes to a range of different meetings and events, providing expertise in the areas of employment, social and work-related policies and preparing supporting documentation as requested by the presidency. See some examples of our contributions below. 

20–21 February 2025: High-level conference – Ministerial conference on the ministry’s presidency priority ‘Future of labour in a digital Europe’, Gdańsk
04–05 March 2025: Informal session of the Social Protection Committee (SPC), Warsaw
11 April 2025: Social inclusion and independent functioning of people with disabilities in the EU, Warsaw
14–15 April 2025: Informal meeting of employment and social affairs ministers (EPSCO), Warsaw
22–23 May 2025: Informal meeting of Employment Committee (EMCO), Warsaw
29 May 2025: High-level conference – Equality in society, Poznań
