This upcoming event — co-organised by Eurofound, the European Training Foundation (ETF), and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) — aims to foster social dialogue and collaboration in the Western Balkans.


Michael McGrath, EU Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection visits Eurofound on 4 April 2025. He meets with Executive Director, Ivailo Kalfin, and the senior management team. He also addresses staff and discusses latest research on living and working in Europe.

The scale of undeclared care work (paid care work that is lawful but not declared to public authorities) in the EU is considerable. Recent estimates suggest that 6.8 million undeclared workers provide care or household services across the EU, with 2.1 million specifically in the care sector.

Support for Ukraine still high among EU citizens but some fall off apparent among certain groups

The EU and its Member States have adopted several measures to aid Ukraine and its people: sanctions against Russia; financial and military aid; assistance to displaced Ukrainians in the EU. While these efforts have been backed by most EU citizens, Eurofound’s 2024 e-survey finds a drop in support.
